together. we make a family.

can't live with them,
can't live without them.

my family has always meant the world to me. but since being in logan limits my time with them, its caused me to appreciate them even more.
it seems like in highschool i took the ole' bunch for granted. being my busy self, i wasn't home much, and now that i'm away, somedays its all i can do but wish i was with them.
i miss the things i never thought i would.
i miss waking up to my dad's opera singing. (haha, yes he's quite the man! :]) i miss my mom's cooking. i miss their hugs. i miss my laundry being folded without wrinkles. i miss homemade french fries on sunday nights. i miss mason and greggor being ninjas. i miss greggor driving me up the wall. i miss doing mason's hair. i miss teasing averi. i miss her telling me to "make good choices," as i headed out the door. i miss sitting at the dinner table with all of them, and trying to be a civilized family, but then someone spills something, or greggor cracks a joke, or mason starts laughing during the prayer.
i look forward to my dad's random phone calls, checking up on me.
i look forward to hearing what crazy things are happening in our house.
(haha, like my mom's love for our garage door. :])
i look forward to weekends where i don't have to work,
so i can go visit them.
we may not have it all together,
but together we have it all.
i love you guys!

:] oh JOY!

do you ever
have one of those days where you
just want to stay in your pj's and curl up
into a ball and snuggle next to the fireplace all day?
haha well, I DO, far too often i might add.
and unfortunately i do not have a fireplace,
nor the time to be wasting.
but you can't blame a girl for wishing, right?
well spring semester is officially in full swing.
trust me, i have 3 tests next week to remind me of that.
don't get me wrong. i truly am enjoying the classes i am taking.
especially, my rapid visualizations class, also known as sketching.
it's such a blast. my teacher is the BOMB.
she has such a bubbly personality, you can't help but come to class.
i also love the fact that she BUILDS our confidence.
haha i'm no sketcher, but boy oh boy, she makes me feel good.
today we had our first sketchbook check.
we are required to sketch outside of class 6 hours a week, besides
the 6 hours we spend in her class.
haha don't worry, it's totally kicking my butt.
but oh well things like this build "character." :]
someday i will thank her, i know i will.
my other favorite class would be history of architecture & furnishings.
SO SO FUN & interesting. my professor darrin adds pizazz to his lectures.
currently we're learning about the william & mary, queen anne, and the chippendale
styles and periods. it's way cool.
along with school, the rest of my life is running smoothly.
just putting in my good ole' hours at vanity
and chilling with the roomies. :]
life is good. i can't complain.
random, but funny story.
so last thursday i was walking to my sketching class.
it was rather freezing. you gotta love logan!
i was bundled up in a hoodie along
with my peacoat, a pair of mittons, a scarf and a hat.
i guess you could say i looked a bit like an eskimo.
i was also sporting my all-time favorite zebra print bag.
but anyways....
as i was walking, i heard a deep voice behind me shout
i ignored it, and kept walking.
but again, i heard from behind,
so i finally decide to turn around because i remember
that i am wearing my zebra bag.
so i turn around to find a HUGE, TALL, BLACK, (did i mention
HUGE?) guy. haha i'm not gonna lie, i was frightened.
all i could do was force a grin.
he then replied, "Well hello there delicate!"
hahahhahahhaha oh my heck.
i seriously don't think i have ever laughed so hard in my
life. no one has ever called me delicate before.
but anyways, i ran to class like a mad woman,
escaping this stranger.
haha i've come to face the fact that my life is random,
and always will be.
oh joy.... so many more adventures await me. :]

a snow date. :]

some may call us crazy,
but quite frankly,
i don't care.
me and my roomate aspen
get along almost too well.
we have fun.
we do random things.
like build forts in the living room
and stay up til 2 watching
we say the exact thing at the same time.
we laugh until our stomachs hurt.
it's ok. don't judge us. :]
well anyways,
on tuesday we we're both set up
on a double blind date.
( i don't know the proper lingo.)
i'm not a fan of them, but i went.
and i'm so glad i did...
not gonna lie, prob the best date i have ever been on.
both the boys' names are danny.
haha it got rather confusing at moments...
we went sledding up at campus on the
ever so famous, "old main."
it was such a blast.
eventually we were too sore to climb back
up the hill,
so we built a huge snowman instead.
it's probably the cutest snowman
i have ever assisted in building. after sledding we went and watched scary movies.
hahaha, even more fun.
all in all, the night was fabulous.
i'm glad i had my dear ole' aspen there
with me.
we have made some good times thus far,

happy birthday GRANDPA BUD! :]

my grandpa bud...
i'm not gonna lie,
he's probably one of the cutest guys you'll ever meet.
he has a smile that could brighten anyone's day.
when you're around him,
you can't help but be happy.
i love my grandpa bud.
he has lived his life in such a way, that
touches everyone he meets.
he's constantly doing good for other people.
he is so so talented.
he has a strong testimony.
i've never met one person who has not had
something nice to say about my grandpa bud.
my grandpa bud always has a smile on his face.
he's funny.
i love his stories.
i look forward to seeing him.
i love his hugs.
i love sitting by him in sacrament.
especially, when he cracks jokes.
he always has the "sweetest vehicles."
back in my high school days,
at lunch i'd always see him cruising around town.
my friends would tell me that i have an awesome grandpa,
and i couldn't agree more.
he is such a great example to me.
he has been through a lot, but
he still stays strong.
i love you.
thank you for
i hope you have a
very very very
don't party too hard! haha. :)
