Hacked.

So apparently I am pretty gullible.
My phone and facebook get hacked all the time,
but hands down this one beats it all.
My sister Averi decided it would be pretty darn funny to
reprogram my name as "butthead" in my iphone.
Now whenever I go to ask Siri a question,
she thinks my name is "butthead."
Well done Averi, well done. :)

the past four years.

To be honest with you...
four years ago if you would have asked me where I'd be now,
I certainly never would have thought I'd be here.

A college graduate.

It still seems a little bit surreal.

It honestly amazes me how fast these past four years have flown by.
I still remember the day we loaded up my little silver grand am and headed to Logan.
I remember the pit I had in my stomach.
As I pulled out of the driveway and headed towards the highway, tears literally spilled down my face.
I was scared. I was happy. I was excited.
I felt old, oh so old.

And today,
I feel even older (& maybe a little wiser haha)
but I am happy with how much progress I have made.

I've learned a lot of lessons over the past couple of years.
I've changed in so so many ways.
I've become stronger. I've become smarter. I've become independent. I've become outgoing. I've become exactly who I've needed to become,
or at least a pretty good start at who I should become.

I think going to college is a lot more about learning about life rather than academics.
I've learned so much about people.
So so so many different kind of people.
I've made friends with people I least expected to ever grow close to.
I've learned that it's important to get to know people.
And more importantly, to give everyone a chance because often times,
those people come into your life for a reason and at the exact time that you need them to.
I've learned that family is the most important thing.
And home is quite possibly my favorite place.
I've learned that opportunities shape you, even the opportunities you miss.
I've learned that hard work pays off.
And when you feel like giving up, you just got to keep going.
I'm grateful for my parents who told me time and time again to keep going.

Like a lot of people, I think we all have our own view of seeing how things will end up,
but along the way we get thrown curve balls, we stumble upon a few bumps in the road.
You'll get rerouted. You'll get delayed.
You'll change your mind. You'll change your heart.
It might not turn out the way you thought it would.
It will turn out even better.
SO MUCH BETTER.
I wouldn't change one single thing about my college experience.

thank you
for all of your love and support throughout my experience at Utah State University.
The greatest part of the path that I have just begun is just that:
I have just started.

I don't know where I'm headed from here,
but I can promise you one thing
it
certainly
won't
be
boring.

stay tuned. :)

Senior Exhibit

Last weekend was the the weekend that Utah State Interior Design students wait their whole college careers for, SENIOR EXHIBIT.
The actual exhibit is set up for a month, but Friday night was our reception.
It was so fun to see everyone's favorite work and display what we've been up to the past 4 years.
All those all-nighters made it worth it!
So grateful for all my friends & family who traveled to spend the evening with me.
Words cannot express how great it has been to have your love and support on this journey!
Here's the exhibit reception via iPhone. :)

Good golly, it took a week to set up.
I was a bit worried that it wasn't going to turn out, but it turned out perfect!
Love the 15 people and professors that have become my family over the past four years.
I'll look back at this with fond, fond memories of each of them.
